I liked this so much more than I thought I would! It's funny and heartwarming. It didn't make me think twice about getting a lab when Hershey was given to us, maybe it should have...
The Joys of Puppyhood?
Okay, so its been 12 years since I had a puppy. I've been too used to senior dogs that just like to find a comfy spot to rest, only require a little scratch behind the ears, and are perfectly content just to be in the same room with you. Sadly, my Kota Bear had to be put to sleep after a life of loyal companionship.
Now that we have two new puppies, Hershey and Palin, my life revolves around constant chewing and digging, house breaking, jumping, and overall destruction!

Tummies of Steel
So far Hershey has eaten/destroyed:
-all of Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head's eyes and mouths, plus some accessories
- a package of water balloons
-hair rubberbands
- the rear end of a frog stuffed animal and an Elmo one
- several pairs of baby socks
-one pair of baby shoes
-two queen sized comforters
-two soccer balls
-several balls from the ball pit
-a pogo stick
-half of our topsy turvy tomato plant
Palin has eaten/destroyed:
- all of Mr. and Mrs. Potato Heads ears
-crayons
- a paperclip
-a keychain
-ziploc sandwich bags
-her blanket
-superglue
-pens
-my flip flops
-the other half of the topsy turvy tomato plant
Unfortunately this list is far from complete!

Labrador Lessons
I've never had a lab, so I'm learning a bit day by day:
1. Labs have no concept of personal space. If you call your lab, don't expect him to stop at your feet, he will run into you full force.
2. Labs think that your idea of great fun involves a paw on each shoulder and hot stinky breath in your face.
3. They have no taste buds. They will eat anything/ everything.
4. They don't have a mean bone in their bodies, and don't expect you to either. If you yell and try to discipline them, they will just pant and wag their tails at you.
5. They are large dogs but think they are your 10 lb lap dog.
